    I’m finding it difficult to see exactly what Amazons royalty rates are as every time you make a change the rates seem to change.

    I haven’t published with them yet but it seems that if you want to have your book in bookshops the royalty rates go down quite a lot. Same with if you want it anywhere other than U.S. I don’t understand why though.

    It also depends whether someone downloads it abroad. So if you’re on your holidays and you download a book from your account in the UK, it’ll be less royalty for the author. I have no idea why – like everything else Amazon does it’s probably to do with tax…

    I wonder if they want to ease out the bookshops by restricting their books.
