Don’t give up Pokemon101. Just make sure you write the best emails you can to get their attention. If all else fails go for self publishing! Who needs to be pushed about by publishing companies? Find a self publishing company you like the look of, someone you can work with, and build a small business. Think about all those people with their jewelry stalls at the market, or leather belts and bags, you’re no different. You’re creating something you want to sell to people who might enjoy it. Good luck!

It also depends whether someone downloads it abroad. So if you’re on your holidays and you download a book from your account in the UK, it’ll be less royalty for the author. I have no idea why – like everything else Amazon does it’s probably to do with tax…

I think (you better check) if the photo was taken from a public place – a road for instance – then you’re okay. But asking is always the polite thing to do!

Great link. There’s loads of FB groups as well. Will people ever get bored with vampires?

Difficult one. One publisher at a time, with one manuscript at the time could take years to get even a sniff at a good quality contract. Guess you have to decide what you want for your writing career.
